Latest HP ProBook series sports 16-hour battery life

HP unveiled the ProBook 400 G4 Series of business laptops this week. The new series, which includes five models, is equipped with 7th Generation Intel Core processors, 7th Generation AMD A-Series APUs and a battery that run for up to 16 hours before requiring recharging.

The ProBook 400 G4 laptops offer from 39 to 54 per cent more battery life than previous models, making them ideal for business users who spend a lot of time away from their desks. Each model is outfitted with NVIDIA GeForce 930MX technology that provides faster performance for applications like photo and video editing, full HD displays, HP Audio Boost for improved sound quality, USB-C ports and HP BIOSphere security software.

The new ProBook models include:

  • The HP ProBook 430 G4, which features a 13.3-inch HD display (full HD and touchscreen are available as options), maximum memory of 16 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM and a choice of Intel processors. The new laptop is priced at US$599.
  • The HP ProBook 440 G4 has almost exactly the same specs as the 430 G4, but is slightly larger with a 14-inch HD display. It’s priced at US$529.
  • The HP ProBook 450 G4 also sports similar specs, but is aimed at customers who want a wider viewing area. The 450 G4 has a 15.6-inch display and is priced at US$599.
  • The HP ProBook 455 G4 comes with a choice of 7th Generation AMD A-Series APUs and is equipped with a 15.6-inch display (full HD is available as an option). It has a maximum memory of 16 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM and is priced at US$499.
  • The largest of the new laptop series is the HP ProBook 470 G4, which is equipped with a 17.3-inch HD display (full HD is available as an option), a maximum memory of 16 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM and 7th Generation Intel Core processors.

  1. I have the new HP Envy Notebook with Core I7 7th Gen, 17.3″ screen, Bang & Olufsen sound – love it! The sound on it is awesome, and I love the backlit keyboard. It has many great features! Are you computer savvy? What laptops, notebooks or PCs do you like? Or do you prefer Apple? 🙂
